The Philippine Genome Center Mindanao (PGC Mindanao) is an expansion of the Philippine Genome Center, a multidisciplinary institution based in UP Diliman, Quezon City.
With the establishment of PGC Mindanao, omics research is now within closer reach to the Mindanao community and intends to be a catalyst for growth and development in the Island.
The facility of PGC Mindanao is located at the College of Science and Mathematics, University of the Philippines Mindanao, Tugbok District, Mintal, Davao City, 8000.

PGC Mindanao aims to utilize omics technology for Mindanao’s scientific development in the aspect of health, ethnicity, agriculture, food safety and quality, environment and biodiversity.
Researchers and authorities will no longer have to send their DNA samples for testing to Manila, for instance. Students and researchers need not travel far to have trainings or exposure to research laboratories.
